In 2005, thanks to generous donations of money, food and toys the Christmas Committee provided needy families with 1,216 turkeys, 348 chickens, 1,540 bags of potatoes, 1,655 loaves of bread, tons of canned and boxed food, and thousands of toys.  At the end of the effort 1,567 families with 3,593 children were helped to have a happy Christmas holiday.
